USDAR has been collecting drug allergy history and outcomes of adult patients 18 and older, but pediatric patients were not previously included in the study. We created USDAR Pediatrics (USDAR Peds) to better understand pediatric drug allergy epidemiology, improve management, and identify the effectiveness of drug allergy interventions.
Study Goals
Investigate risk factors for different types of drug allergy in pediatric patients
We will determine phenotypes of true drug allergy
Determine impact of allergy investigations on follow-up care and outcomes
This database will be used analyzed to improve clinical outcomes by modifying existing drug allergy testing
Study Steps
01
Initial Data collection
Initial data will be collected from the patient's parent, referring provider, and allergist provider
02
Follow-up Data
Standardized follow-up assessments will advance patient care and knowledge of the impact of allergy evaluations
